  • dragonfly-df 1309 Chicago Ave Evanston, IL, 60201 United States (map)

Stop by the Chicago-Dempster neighborhood February 8th and have a locally brewed beer for a good cause! Several local merchants are joining together to serve beer tastings from Sketchbook Brewery to raise funds for Blackdog All Breed Rescue.

“Blackdog All Breed Dog Rescue is beyond thrilled that local stores in Evanston have chosen us to be recipients of their February fundraiser! We hope this fundraiser is not just successful for the rescue, but for bringing awareness to the community regarding the increased problem with unwanted dogs,” said Megan Albright, Co-founder & President of Blackdog All Breed Rescue.

Stop by 9 local businesses including: Dragonfly, Lollie, Stumble & Relish, Union, Squeezebox Books & Music, Four Finches, The Pot Shop, Paramour Bungalow & Sketchbook Brewery to get tickets and a 4 oz. beer tasting. There is a suggested donation of $10 for 4 tickets, each ticket will get you a beer tasting or entrance into a raffle. There will be a raffle filled with local goods & gift certificates to win. Tastings will be from Noon-4:00 PM.

“I want to adopt or foster every dog I see and since that just won’t work, I think the next best thing is to raise some money for this great organization,” says Jaime Leonardi, Co-Owner of Stumble & Relish Gifts. “We are lucky enough to have Sketchbook Brewery right down the street and couldn’t ask for a better partner in this event.”

This is a great opportunity to support your favorite local businesses and get to know some new ones. If you would like to donate money or buy tickets in advance stop by Lollie Kids Boutique (1312 Chicago Ave., phone: 847.328.7303) or Stumble & Relish (1310 A Chicago Ave., phone 773.330.3488). This event is sponsored by the local participating businesses.
